Library Facilities’ Grounds
Camping is prohibited on all property managed by the Fauquier County Library Board of Trustees.
Camping means:
sleeping out-of-doors;
erecting or setting out a temporary shelter out-of-doors, including, but not limited to a tent, cardboard box, sleeping bag, or newspapers; or
cooking over an open flame or fire out-of-doors.
Library staff should notify a person who appears to be camping that they are in violation of the library’s policy relating to use of the grounds and facilities. If library staff observes any person acting in violation of this rule after having been notified, library administration shall contact the Fauquier County Sheriff and ask that the offender be charged with violating Va. Code Ann. § 18.2-119, “trespass after having been forbidden to do so.”
