Marc Leepson, journalist, historian and author, talks with veteran journalist Lou Emerson, about his most recent book, The Unlikely War Hero: A Vietnam War POW’s Story of Courage and Resilience in the Hanoi Hilton. The Unlikely War Hero Hilton tells the story of Navy Seaman Apprentice Doug Hegdahl, the youngest American POW captured in North Vietnam.
Marc Leepson is the author of 11 books. He is a former staff writer for Congressional Quarterly and has written for the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and the Chicago Tribune, to name a few. He has appeared on many television and radio news programs and is a frequent speaker at universities and colleges throughout the U.S.
