Fauquier County Public Library welcomes donations that support its mission to provide resources and programs that seek to inform, enrich and entertain every member of our society.
Donate Money & Bequests
Monetary gifts and bequests from individuals, businesses and civic organizations are always needed. Donate online via credit card through your online library account or send a check, payable to Fauquier County Public Library, along with a completed donation form (PDF) to Linda Yowell, Fauquier County Public Library, 11 Winchester St., Warrenton, VA 20186. Cash donations may be dropped off at your local library. All donations are acknowledged in writing.
Make Honorary & Memorial Gifts
Donations may be made in memory or in honor of friends, family members, teachers or any other significant person in your life. Honorees or their families will be notified of your gift and a gift plate will be placed in the item purchased with your donation. Consider Planned Giving

Amazon Wish Lists
“Wish lists” for children, adults and DVD donations are posted online through Amazon.com. View the lists and select the title(s) you wish to donate. Check the box “This will be a gift” so that the library is notified of your donation then proceed to pay online. Your donation will be shipped directly to the library.

Donate Gently Used Books and Materials
The library accepts new and used books, audio recordings and DVDs in good condition. Items not placed in the library’s collection will be sold in the Friends of the Fauquier Library’s used book store, the Book Cellar. Please review the guidelines of what we can and can not accept. If you have more than one box of items to donate, please make arrangements in advance by calling (540) 422-8504.
Become a Friend of the Fauquier Library
Membership dues and Book Cellar sales enable the library to purchase special items and to present cultural events for children, teens and adults. Call (540) 341-3447, for more information on the Friends or to volunteer at the Book Cellar.
Volunteer at the Library
Support your library through a gift of your time. The library has a variety of volunteer opportunities at all three of its locations. Volunteers must be 13 or older and are asked to commit to six months of volunteering. Flexible hours are available Monday through Friday. Volunteer applications are available at all library locations or you may apply online (volunteers under 18 should fill out/return this PDF version, due to the parent signature requirement).
Teens interested in volunteering during the Summer Reading Program should use this form, or pick up an application at any Fauquier County Public Library location. Teen Summer Reading Program Volunteer applications will be accepted April 1 – 30, 2018 and should be submitted at your local library location. Check at your local library for specifics.
