Reading Riot: Tablets Offer SAT Prep

Posted by librarystaff on

Hey teens, do you want to boost your chances of scoring big on the SAT? The library has tablets for you to do just that. Playaway Launchpads for teens are preloaded with dozens of apps to help you score more points on the English and Math SAT.

SAT Prep–English will help you ace the writing, language and essay portion of the exams. The interactive tools provide lessons on grammar, parts of speech, word tense, sentence structure, punctuation and more.

Learn SAT Math teaches concepts that will power you through the math exam. 24 preloaded apps will boost your knowledge on everything from number operations to trigonometry.

With these exciting new learning tools, you can master new skills anytime, anywhere. Available at all branches, the devices do not have Internet connectivity so you won’t get distracted. But they make learning fun so go ahead and customize your background color and personalize your icon. Check out the Quick Tips to help you navigate through the Launchpad. Then prepare to crack the SAT!

The fine print… Launchpads are nonrenewable, limited to a single 21 day loan period and may only be checked out on an adult library card (18 or older).

If you’d like to get a hands-on trial of the SAT prep Launchpads, come to our next Teen Advisory Group (TAG) meeting. Anyone in 6th grade and above is welcome.

Tuesday, March 13 – 4-5 p.m. Bealeton branch library
