The Fauquier County Public Library recognizes the need to respond quickly and as thoroughly as possible to inquiries from media representatives and from individuals, especially on sensitive or topical issues relating to library policies. While the Board encourages positive public contact with library staff, volunteers, and Friends, it is the ultimate responsibility of the library director to interpret Board policy; therefore, the library director will respond to inquiries on sensitive and controversial issues with an accurate representation of facts and a fair statement of the library’s position.
