Local Government Documents

The Fauquier County Public Library supports the County policy of providing public access to local government information. Documents published or produced under the authority of Fauquier County that are of “high interest” to the public and are not available on the County Web site or from the originating agency may be maintained by the library. These can include annual documents, such as the county budget, the Capital Improvements Plan (CIP), and financial reports, special reports, and major planning documents. Other documents of long-term interest including codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans may be retained. Retention and storage of documents will be determined by the library, based upon currency and space.
