Celebrate Shakespeare With Your Local Library

(Warrenton, VA) April 14, 2016 — The Fauquier County Public Library, with the generous support of the Norris Family Fund and in cooperation with Highland School, will present “Tiny Tempest” on Saturday, April 23, 2 p.m. at the Rice Theater.
“Tiny Tempest” will be performed by The Shakespeare Theatre Company and is adapted specifically for young audience from Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.” The performance allows attendees to interact with the cast and is followed by group activities. Admission is free.
“We wanted to encourage younger audiences to experience Shakespeare. We are thrilled that the Norris family has made it possible to bring this live performance, geared to ages 5 – 10, to Fauquier County,” said to Dawn Sowers, Public Services Manager.

The performance is part of the Virginia Shakespeare Initiative, commemorating the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death on April 23, 2016. Shakespeare, considered one of the greatest writers in the English language, authored 38 plays, 154 sonnets and two long narrative poems as well as other works. His plays have been translated into every major language.
